Fabcraft Skid wheels

So, has anyone ever had problems with the wheels on their fabcraft skids falling off due to bolts backing out or the plastic inserts that you put inside the bearings cracking and breaking? Just the rear wheels so far, had it happen twice to me, once with backing out and once with the insert cracking. Loctite (blue) was used on the bolts.

Mine did and I heard this is an issue. I got some billet wheels to replace them but if you are using a fabcraft skid have fun because you are forced to use their inserts because their axle is 19mm. I was very fortunate because one of mine desintegrated while running 15lbs of boost going up a very steep technical pull. Why would they use a 19mm axle and not a 20mm or 25mm like everyone else?

Glad it's just not me then. I bought it used, had 300 miles on it, broke 2 on the first 2 rides!! Put 100 miles on it this past weekend over the course of 3 days, no problems. If it does it again I'm gonna have to switch. Or get someone to fab me aluminum or stainless inserts.

all mine broke also. called and they gave me some part numbers but didnt really go anywhere. took all them out and used some shims and what not that i had lyin around to make it work. been like that ever since. still havent really found anything to replace the whole rear axel though. sh*tty setup if u ask me. love the skid itself though. steve

well mine finally feel off today. ripping down the trail and bomb, wheels came right off the bearing. all the plastic pieces broke. had to mickey mouse it back together to get it. really have to find another solution to this. not a happy camper.

If it happens again, or should I say when it happens again, I will probably call Mike. Seems like they could make aluminum inserts the same exact size of their plastic ones, no? When I did call and order spares, he didn't seem too concerned about it and didn't offer any info as to these things being a potential problem.
