I ordered a pair of their Rear wheels on November 27th and have not got my wheels yet.E-mailed them, and got a B**lchit excuse about how they needed to make them and just plain forget to let me know. They sure didn't forget to charge my bank account the day after I ordered them and here it is almost January and still no tracking number or wheels!WTF..talk about piss poor customer service.I can't believe people like this can stay in business.

A lot of these businesses that make aftermarket snowmobile parts are working out of their garage and they're raising kids and holding down a regular job while being the head engineer, accountant, shipping dept. customer service dept. etc of their small business. I've come to anticipate less than steller service but usually the product is good. Hats off to those that do everything well but it's the exception to the rule. Hang in there, you'll get your wheels (Unless they read this post:eek:)

I understand about business large and small Revpilot, it has little to do with that.It has to do with princepal,if you charge somebody for a product and you can't deliver, keep them in the loop about it.

My rule of thumb is if I haven't got the parts when my credit card bill arrives or atleast a time on when it will be shipped, I issue a chargeback on my credit card. I'm so sick of ****ty places that can't send a email or let you know about your order, and the way to get them to improve is not give them your business! Don't screw around, if they can't give you a timeline just issue a chargeback and order them somewere else.

I would cancel your order if you can, and buy a set of billet wheels.

I had 2 rear slydog boogie wheels on my Nytro and they literally TACO'd in half. Cracked the bearing retaining clip in half and needless to say, ruined a great day of riding! They just can't stand up to the abuse IMO.

There is no excuse not even being a one man show. If you advertise a product and get paid for said product then you damn well better have said product in stock ready to ship. If you dont have the product ready to ship you hold onto the credit information send the buyer an email stating the item is on backorder. Try to give an estimate on when the product will be ready for shipment. This gives the buyer the option to wait with no regrets or to take there money elsewhere. A good dealer will only charge for the product once it is ready for shipment. Again to me there is no excuse big or small company for taking the buyers money when the product they paid for is unavailable.

x2 there is no excuse. What does it matter if it is a small business and he has a wife and kids if he doesnt have time to get the product out and have some decent customer service then dont have a business. Why are people making excuses for this piss poor service??? would you like to pay for something and never get it there is no excuse for that.

Ditto on the no charge until the product ships! Let us not forget the hyperlite clutch ordeal.
Not saying this is the case here but you never know when the next will happen.
I call whoever I order anything from and get a status weekly now. If I don't like what I hear I get my money back and go to the next guy.

go to your bank / credit union, dispute the charge with visa. visa is real good to credit your account within an hour or so.

when you list the reason, put didn't receive product... It's an easy dispute. then turn around and cancel your order, and inform them that you have disputed the charge.

That sucks. I have wheels coming from SlyDog too and they had to be made. I hope I dont end up in the same boat as you. You would think a big company like Slydog would have their own wheels in stock.

Amen. Bill it when it has been shipped. It should be a law. After these places get your cash, they do not seem to have any accountibility when it comes to notification of the status of your order.

Check this sh!t out.I called Slydog this morning and here is what I got.
"Oh ya, we have your wheels but can't ship them until Jan 7th or 8th because we ran out of bearings and circlips."My response.."Just ship the motherf***ers and I will buy my own bearings and clips at the local hardware store."Slydog...."Oh, we can't do that but let me dig through some boxes and see if I can't find a few."Wow, that really speaks volumes for the intelligence and probably the quality of their products.

man..one outfit up here is awesome...i needed heat trace end terminations...16...they were out of them...they took all 16 out of kits to sell me...with out me asking...why can;t all these outfits go the extra mile...man some of the things they do is darn close to FRAUD..

I'm not sure about the law, but in most merchant's agreement with the credit card compainies you can not charge the customer's credit card till you ship the product. They know that. It's one thing to get a deposit if they are custom building you something, but quite another if they simply take your money for a stock item they advertise for sell and don't send you anything.
