EZ-RYDE question

I have heard great things about ride in rough terrain(bumps, hill climb, etc.) of this skid. I would really appreciate any input on the deep powder performance of this skid, I've heard that they tend to trench more. Can anyone who has one of these skids please shed some light. Thanks alot!

I have one on my MCX Nytro running 280-290HP 17psi and love it. Well worth the money IMO. The stock suspension had a much steeper aproach angle than the ez-ryde. Did not have a problem with trenching at all. I do have the front shock shortened 1/2 an inch though.

Agree with above. They retain far less snow than a stock skid and will keep climbing where a stocker would trench. I can't believe how this thing climbs. When I sell my D7 someday, I'm probably putting the stock skid back in and keeping the EZ Ryde for my next sled.

Plus they're easy to work on. Spent about 2 hours freshening mine up yesterday. Everything on them is very well-engineered.

I am in Alaska and have one on my 08 700 RMk I put 1200 miles on it last year in the steep and deep and pounded the bumps, had a few problems with mine first the retaining ring for the rear shock spring busted ( the new one they sent is now billet), front fox shock came apart, rear upper shock cross bar actually bent even though it is heat treated. We are already riding up here this year and the new front fox shock started to back out and leak fluid took it in had it rerbuilt and thraed locker aplied this time. Steve at Ez Ryde sent all new hardware anytime somthing went wrong at no cost. As for the cross shaft bent they have had this problem in the past and tried differnt materials i.e. titanium which you can buy but they are not provided with the new skid due to cost. I do love the suspension it takes the bumps like no other and I have no problems with trenching we usually are playing in 3 to 4 feet of fresh stuff and it performs awsome. you can see my sled under the alaska forums under rides it is on one of the last pages winter camo sled.
