just wondering what guys that have a ez ryde in their nytro think of them. i need a skid for my turbo nytro and would like some suggestions. Thanks

have never ridden the ez ride but have heard good things about it. I have the mountian tamer under my t-nitro with fox floats and am happy with it (very adjustable.)

I have a ezryde in my SC nytro, and I love it. IMO it soaks up the bumps better than anything out there. It does well in the trees and will somewhat hold the skis down while climbing. I personally haven't had an issue with excessive ski lift, but have heard of others that have. I find it to be a great "all around" skid. The one down side is it does require more upkeep than the other skids, you really do need to change the bushings every year, they wear out fast. it's not expensive, just a hassle.

If you spend most of your time climbing the steep chutes or running high boost, (17+ lb's) you might want to look at the M10 or Racers Edge, they are both great skids, their very adjustable, and will control ski lift better than anything out there.

Has anyone installed the new lightweight skid from yamaha on there 2010?
Just wondering if its a good choice for a 180 turbo or SC.

Get a hold of Scott at Diamond S. He really likes the EZ Ryde. He runs them on his Nypex. He also runs a fair amount of HP.:face-icon-small-win:face-icon-small-hap

I like mine but am still having troubles getting the front end to stay down on bigger climbs.

So far, 09 162 skid, 280lb rear spring, revalved both shocks, I have the rear spring crank very tight and the front one very loose. Decompression is set at max. Last suggestion christian gave me was to try to move the lower mounting point of the front shock back towards the rear of the skid, thus shortening the front shock even more and making it even softer on the front shock.

When I switched to the 280 shock it is a 10 inch long spring thus keeping the smaller preload spring at the top. Was thinking about using a 12 inch spring and maybe make it 300lbs or just removing that 2 inch preload spring and putting in a coupler of some sort.

I dont expect it to keep the skiies planted like an m10 but on steeper climbs it transfers too much.

17lbs mcx-nytro.

Call Trevor at Macs Machine in Canada, you'll never second guess yourself again. M-10, He'll take care of ya for a fair price. And them find a good installer and pay the extra coin to have it installed.

YOU WILL NEVER LOOK BACK.

Good Luck.
