EZ Jacker 1.9 issue

Got it in and went for a test ride. 6700ft in a powder field. I noticed no noticable difference. Max RPM's off the line were 8170, then settled to about 8000. Looked at my lights (red, green yellow) on the box and noticed the yellow flickering really really fast. This is the boost control selenoid.

With my can, EZ Jacker and a 60/40 mix of 91 octane and 110 racing fuel, I should be taching to the moon and bouncing off the rev limiter.

Any ideas?
 
You will lose horse power with increase in octane....

Any particular reason your running mix? There is no need for it...at least with ez jacker and can....in m1100T
 
No need for extra octane.

You are gaining about 1.3 to 1.5 pounds of boost. RPMs will only increase about 200 from your stock setting.

I have a friend that has to run a mix of 100 with 91 to keep the sled from detonation. All he is running is the barker and 1.9.

I tell you what, have your friend send me the money he is wasting on doing the mix, as it is not needed, and is merely making the sled perform worse than it can...

The sled does not need anything more than 91 octane...It will not detonate due to octane...but hey, if it makes him feel good, just tell him your will do the mix for him, and have him pay you, you bring over the "mix" and make enough money to pay for a nice dinner every time you ride with home...

I am running the mix for det. I didn't know it would kill power.

If the EZ Jacker boosts hp from 177 to 220, I would expect more than a 200 rpm increase. I would think with the Speedwerx can and Ez Jacker I would be hitting the rev limiter, but in 8-10 inches of powder yesterday, I was hitting 8170 max.
 
If I dont run a little less than 1 gal of 114 per tank it would dent. Bone stock.

well in this case you are incorrect it can and it does detonate using this set up with out a little added fuel quality! hell mine has done it twice using 91 after a couple long pulls back to back and all I have is BMP tubes, turbo outlet and muffler. Which by the way work amazing!!!

Does the octane light come on and put your sled in limp mode, and that is how you know detonation is occuring?
Or, do you hear detonation?
When my 2011 M8 hits the rev limiter (fixed the clutching now!), it triggers the octane light. I thought it was bad gas, but according to the dealer it was the rev limiter.
I know yours is the turbo 4 stroke, but was just wondering how you knew it was detonation.

You believe your sled will detonate without the 114 at 6000 or below????


Wow, wonder why all those guys running exact sleds....running at sea level are having no issues, and sled says 91 octane....

Call your dealer, talk to arctic cat...sled will not blow up using 91 octane regardless of elevation....

Not going to argue with you, but you are stating something that is not communicated by manufacturer, nor required or suggested...Well, except by someone on a forum on the Internet....
 
at 5500 to 6000 it would go into limp mode and the detanation light would flash if pind for more than 10 sec almost every time. I don't why it does but if you put about 1 gal.of that in when filling up it won't do it.

Not sure posting that it cant happen is the correct answer, because it can and it has to more then just this sled. Our dealers and manufactures say alot of things that should happen but don't. it is happening to this sled with that set up. Maybe its where he's getting his 91???? I simply provided feedback to the OG post. No need to argue I didnt post my opinion just the facts about this sled as I know them.
I use this forum for to learn and share more about the products that I use and ride. I wouldn't have posted it if it wasn't happening!
Best thing is this isnt my sled so no need for me to call anybody.:face-icon-small-hap
 
It has happened. I have read here on on other forums about people getting detonation with Jackers and cans.

Anyway, I am not worried about det. I really just want to know what kind of performance increases people got with the EZ Jacker. RPM's, Track Speed, etc....

I am running a can and the jacker and should be hitting the limiter but my best pull has been only 8170 rpm's. D and D has a 40 hp increase advertised. I just don't see it. I simply want to know if my Jacker is defective or if a 200 rpm increase is all you get. I sure don't think I picked up anywhere close to 40 hp, maybe 10. The little button didn't seem to do much either.

We did the turbo dynamics flash and now issues works real good no codes but it does tunning and fuel plus boost. I think it the better option.

Put my turbo weights in and spring and at 240 it boondocks real nice .


4 programs include the famous:

1- Ecotrail 87-91 octane map 200-220HP (depending on exhaust and intercooler setup)

2- Lake Race 91 octane 220-240HP

3- Powertrail 91 240HP to 260HP most powerful program on 91 octane!!!

4- Racing map for Radar or Drag racing from 280 up to 320HP with wastegate upgrade (requires Race fuel
 
Ours flashes Oct at anything over stock power settings and sometimes it will go off on stock settings. It is most deff not over rev not even pulling 7800 peak.
 
So nobody knows why the light is flashing because mine is doing the same thing. The yellow light blinks really fast and I to do not really notice a power increas. I am not getting the octane light or hitting the limiter. Just no noticed gain in power and a blinking light......... Maybe a waist of 400 bucks!?
