looking to carry a extra shovel on my wifes edge ,cant find a good way to mount it under the hood , is there a such thing as a edge shovel bag? i told her it would cost 10,000$ to mount it (its called a 600 pro) any cheaper ideas?
thanks

My wife rides an '04 600 and I have the shovel bungeed to the top of the spare belt. The blade lays over the shock tower with the handle back by the hood hold down. May not be the best design, but it works for what little bit she rides.

I used to keep my shovel under the hood on my 04 rmk. I have a BCA shovel and it tucked under the front of the belt with the handle collapsed and poking up through the middle of the belt with the blade of the shovel towards the front resting on the belly pan. It actually fit very nicely and didnt seem to wiggle a whole lot while riding.

I have since found it is more appropriate to ride with your avalanche gear on your back. It is better to have it on you incase your snowmobile is buried in avalanche and you are free!

Right where I use to carry mine, worked well for me also.

thanks guys for the replys , the wifes edge is electric start so the battery is in the way, i will have to get creative i guess , thanks again

Strap it to the tunnel extension. I used shovel with removable handle. I riveted a strap and d ring to the back of my tunnel extension. I took a length of elastic cord, put a hook in the middle and fastened the ends to the cargo rack. Shovel blade on the extension, strap across it, hook the dRing. Shove the handle into the luggage rack from the back.
