Purchased a used Boonedocker kit that was the old Turbosmart setup. I updated the muffler and exhaust elbow (pipe) to TiAL kit. I still have the Turbosmart external wastegate that’s a 40mm, unfortunately one of the flanges is a female flange and the flange on the exhaust elbow is female (need male flange on wastegate). Contacted BD and the TiAL wastegate they use is a 38mm. Will I notice any difference in lag between the 40mm and the 38mm wastegate? Not sure I want to spend the $300 on the TiAL wastegate when I can just get a flange and have a fab shop install the correct flange on the Turbosmart wastegate.
