External air temp sensor mounting

I am instaling the optional external air temp sensor. 06 RMK.
Where is the sensor suppose to attach to.
The wire is about 20" long and plugs in by the hood hinge.
Thanks Rob

Son in law has one of these on his 05 and the extra wire is just folded up and the sensor is taped to the harness close to the connector.

When I did the bumper upgrade, I found my temp sensor was glued to the underside of the bumper right close to the belly pan plastics. When I moved it (to the right shock-tower) I can tell it is no longer accurate.... I would suggest trying to keep it as close to the front bumper as possible so it doesn't get affected by engine bay or ambient plastic heat. Mine is off a good 10-15* where I have it mounted now... been meaning to move it, but keep forgetting....

^^ mine was by the front bumper as well, and was also glued to the nose pan...just keep it away from the pipe, and from incoming air flow...

I stuck mine out of one of the holes in the front next to the hinge. If I remember the instructions said to run the wire down into the belly pan behind the vents. That only works if you have the stock front plastic cover.
