Extending the SBA to a 159 gearing help!

So I am extending my dads SBA to a 159 due to him weighing about 260 pounds, being 52, and he loves that sled and we have had not a single problem so he does not want to buy a 163. We got the kit from tracks usa for 500 bucks (how can you beat that with extensions and track). So my question is being that I am extending it to this length what should I do to the gearing? Will it be fine stock? Should I switch all of the gearing and the chain to a 163 gearing? Or can I get away with changing just a top or bottom gear?

Any advice would be gladly appreciated.

Sorry to edit I just noticed that the gearing is the same for the 163 and the 144 sba so I should be ok right?

Thanks Jake

gearing change

I have an 04 edge 800 with a 159. The stock gearing was 19/39. I changed it to 19/43. The reason is because I weight a lot and have added a pipe & can clutch kit Etc. It help with track speed when climbing and keep the belt running cooler. The only thing I noticed is the top speed on the trails was cut down some.
I also have a 13 Pro RMK, if someone ever make different gearing that's a direct bolt on I am going to change it to a final drive ratio of something like 2.40 from the 2.05 or 2.09 forgot which one is stock. that's stock on the 800 pro's with the 163 track.

Hope this helps.

the '12 switchback assault gearing/clutching is very similar to the pro rmk gearing/clutching minus the driven helix at 8k-10k feet.

i also run that 159 kit out west using the switchback assault gearing/clutching and it worked great, pulled 8200-8400 rpms depending on conditions.
