Explain the Burandt Boards

Skinz Airframes. Light, strong, work well, never in stock, cant order anywhere, get them in about 2 seasons... :face-icon-small-con

Buradnt boards are powdercoated and thicker on the cross section. Made for the "heavier" peeps and those who like to jump a lot. Anybody who demoed the 13 sled in powder would know that spending $400 on air frames for this sled is an absolute waste of money. Better to spend that on a pipe or head and get a little more HP out of the motor...

I have two sets of Airframes being shipped to me now. Anyone interested in ordering them?

The boards on my 13 Pro are for sale when it gets here. B&M Fabrication boards are going on it. Airframes are bending on 2 of our Pro's and the B&M's on my son's Pro are perfect. They are all installed the same way, rivets and glued. They use bigger OD tubing and have a better design IMO. Same money and they got on it and got them shipped! Novel concept. Good guy's to deal with too! Don't get my wrong, Airframes are excellent boards and I think the saved a tunnel blowout last year but after waiting all damn summer into late fall last year for a set we ordered and paid for in May we found B&M's and glad we did!

My question is do the Burandt Boards come with everything you need to mount them on an 11 or 12? They are advertised as 2011-2013 in the accessory catalog however the 13's have a separate piece that connects the aft board rail to the tunnel where as on the 11-12's the outer rail is all one piece from the tunnel to the footbox. I wouldn't want to order them and wait until August? just to find out I have to order more parts to finish the install.

Anyone know the definitive answer?

" Secure front and rear attachment with castings that are adhesive bonded"

That's in the description but all the photos show only the foot boards (The black powdercoated piece)?

These boards will bolt and rivet on in place of the stock 2013 boards... they are pow coated (I thought they were E-coat... my bad)... The front and the rear supports that bolt to the chassis are pre bonded to the Burandt edition.

The "Burandt" boards are simply more heavy-duty versions of the stock ones and pow coated to shed snow better.

OK, not trying to be difficult, only to clarify 100% if that's possible:)

The front and rear supports that bolt to the chassis are included pre bonded to the black powder coated piece that is pictured ALONE (those pieces are specifically not included in the photo) in all of the advertisements for the Burandt edition boards?

Phatty you are in Utah, you ride on POWDER. I am in Washington, I ride on gorilla snot. Gorilla snot sticks to everything. Only thing I have seen to consistently work is Airframes. I rag them a lot on Snowest about the crappy way they run their business(no inventory in season or pre season, someone needs to hit the common sense button or go to the local community college and take a business class or two). I will be ordering a set for my 13, in the unlikely event that I got bad info I will just sell them for a loss. Would love to run the Pro stock. BTW, putting a pipe and head on a Pro is accepting a lot of liability for their crappy engine for a minor bump in power.

Clarifying.

Not being difficult at all... The photos that are out are confusing.

Here is the reply that I got back from Polaris Corporate a couple of weeks ago.

Question: Will the HD Burandt Boards come with the front and rear bracket already bonded onto the extrusion...OR will the user need to de-bond and re-bond those parts from their sled?
Answer: Will come with front and rear brackets already glued in.

Question: Are these boards Powder coated or are they E-coat?
Answer: Powder

Question: Will you also have the standard version of the running boards available as a kit that are on the 2013 sleds?
Answer: No, just the Burandt boards.

lol hold on to those air frames, sell them in december for a profit when they are back ordered again. :usa2:

At least you guys have snow! we didn't even make april before our riding season ended. Drove through WA last week and was jealous of your 20 foot snow banks :face-icon-small-coo

No telling yet... only the "special price with snowcheck" is out right now... next fall they will probably cost more than when packaged with the sled.

No offense to you (it's not your fault), but you're 10 months too late.

I hear you on that. It's not like I have been happy about that. I have refunded many sets. I do have some in stock now and feel some customers especially with 11 and 12 RMKS will be very happy with a set of Air-Frames. Some like the custom tube look as well.

IMO the Skinz Airframes are the best boards. I have them on my 2011 and I never have an issue. Does anyone know if the Airframes will work on the 2013? I just snow checked a 2013 163" and I am going to put the Airframes on right away.
