Exits or Raptors?

Thinking about ditching the WE Piggybacks and going to Exit X1's or Raptors. Price point of the Exits are a little bit better, but I hear really good things about the Raptors and I had a good discussion with Jake , the owner at Raptor while at Haydays.

Just wanted to hear some opinions from those who have rode either or both.

Always had great results with my raptors, have heard a lot of positives about Exits also.

what about the newest Edition of Fox with and without springs?

Forgot to add that raptors have a ton of adjustability and easy to adjust on the fly. Jake has always provided great service and very reasonable rebuilds

On my second set of Raptors and no regrets!!!

Awesome product and Jake offers great service!!

Price is the biggest difference... If I could do it over I'd do the Raptors on all four corners for around $1,500 compared to my Fox setup at $2,600

Ive seen a few people mention raptors at around $1500 a set, arent they over $2000 for all 4 new?

I had X1's all around on my 2011 and 2013 Pro's. Wow are they amazing. I compared to my buddies same sled with Fox Evol R's and there really was no comparison. They were so good that i realized they were better than I was. I mean there was no way I will ever use that shock to it's fullest capability.

I haven't used Raptors enough but have a couple rides on an older machine with them. I can say that Zbroz does a good job of supporting their product (phone support, reasonable rebuilding costs, time with customer). Great product

I love my raptors and Jake is great to work with. I haven't rode with exits but know there are a lot of people that like them. My vote is for raptor, but I don't think you can go wrong either way.

Yeah, im really curious whats going on there, they are $545 a shock now for pricing, so that puts you at $2180 for a set of raptors. Really nice shocks! I do want to try a set of Exit X'2s. Never had the chance to tweak with rebound on a sled and could be pretty rad.

Pulled the trigger on the Raptors. Thanks for the info. From the research I did, it think either way would have been a good move. Raptor had a few features that I liked better and Jake the owner was very helpful and great to chat with on the phone. It's also nice to have their shop close by when it comes time for service or part.
I'll be sure to post up how they ride when I get them on the snow in December.

Coming off of Walker Evans clickers, which weren't terrible, but I'm 6'2"- 240lbs with gear, so I think they were valved and sprung a bit too light.

I'm keeping the stockers to put back on the sled when I sell it.

I also like having spare stuff in the trailer. I like having a complete front suspension and and tie rods just in case a rock or tree jumps out in front of me. The cost to keep or buy the extra parts sucks until there is 3 feet of fresh powder on the ground and you're sitting in the lodge watching your buddies take off for the days ride because you jacked your sled up and don't have the parts.

Spare sled my friend...spare sled (or should I say "wife's sled"):face-icon-small-hap

I just sold my "wife's sled".Hadn't come out of the trailer in two seasons. I'm sure I'll regret it...

My bad, just checked it out you can still get them with the Haydays special for $1,960 for all four right now.

Thanks for the clarification. Like I said your not the only one, Erik Woog posted something on facebook about them being under $1600 a set, I think people miss that the fronts are NOT priced in sets.

I had raptors on my pro, paid $1400 for them used and was pleased, I felt like they did a great job eliminating feedback in the bars over small chop on the trails, but I never really got them dialed in over the big woops, just didnt play with them enough. I may just try a carls revalve on my axys.

I put raptors on 3 corners of the sled and a coil over stock rear shock, cause my rear raptor is from my pro and it needs reshimming. Im very happy with raptors but, my coils did rust due to the powder coat falling off. I installed the front shox with only 1 turn on the coils, same with the front trax shox and the rear coil over stok shock i set to 10.75 inches, that was the sweet spot i found to keep the front end down, any shorter than that created to much ski lift. I weigh 165 in underware.
I tend not to play with the rear clickers cause thier tricky to turn from ice buildup on the nobs..
