EVOPS Flash Upgrade

I am running the EVO 215 mountain flash on my sled and really like how it makes it run. I do not need any more powre for where and how I ride. I am wondering if it is worth the cost to upgrade to the new antilag v-map software. I do not feel like I need the v-map however the antilag has me interested. I ride trees and more technical terraind with a bunch of 2 stroke guys so less lag would be great. What should I expect to feel in the seat of the pants with the new anilag flash and is is worth $300 for me to upgrade? I am sure the new flash is of quality design coming from EVO however will it assist whith how/where I ride?

Thanks,

S2H

I Will let you know as I have already sent in for the stage 3 Launch control flash...along with other goodies.
I have been running EVOs 215 for almost a year and this system
Will complement it by allowing me to switch to the octane of fuel I am running and inturn automatically tweak the timing more closly for the intended octane, and provide pre spooling to avoid the lag that is reduced by EVos BOV valve but still present

This is is not aimed entirely on HP but throttle response at the intended takeoff...

Now I am probally leaving allot out but am sure Jim will provide additional information...
This will be the ticket for the friendly drag race and most importantly the intended response
when you introduce yourself to a good climb....

I also will wait for Jim to come on and explain it to a T. But I know that he had said that likely you would be able to spool the turbo while coasting or going downhill. This may be very useful for downhill turns or in a right spot that you need two stroke snap. I know I will have the upgrade by winter.

Think of it as a trans brake on a drag car. 5-6lbs of boost at launch. We've all been at the bottom of that creek bed with little run to build boost before hitting a straight 20' vertical...turbo lag nightmare. This is where anti-lag will be awesome. The optional fuel tunes is a bonus for those that ride elevation and flat more so than just mountain guys on stock turbos imo. Guys that have BC or SC kits are liking the 110 option as they always want that extra 20hp on big snow days.

So this "transmission brake" is all provided by ECM tuning? Please elaborate

You know when you try to move before its warm? Popping and banging kinda like the rev limiter.....

YouTube some 1100s at grass drags and check out the launches. Hairy stuff. That is anti-lag programming.

I just don't know how that would do while your in motion. Just want to know exactly what it's doing

The launch control works by setting an artificial rev limit that is tied in with thumb control button near the handwarmer switches. When you push the button and go full throttle, the rev limit is set at 3800 rpms, the timing is severely retarded which instantly spools the turbo. After about 1.5 seconds, release the button and you have been launched :) - like being shot out of a cannon. This is a game changer for Hill Climb drag racers and will be of use in other situations as well. It will not work for rolling type situations as its function is tied to the speed sensor for safety.
