Everyone just settle down

Does everyone expect miracles every damn year?

Don't forget Yamaha is in this to MAKE MONEY. They can't just throw new sled designs out every year. They'd be bankrupt and gone after just a few years.

Don't forget how many people work for the Snowmobile divison in Yamaha that they have to pay.

Yamaha is a smart, fantastic company with a great valued product. Its why we get so fired about about wanting to best from them every year!

But remember to be realistic here. Yamaha holds it repution on the line and won't just slap a blower on anything just to satify a customer until they can see its return value and keep its reliabiltiy.

In Short, they listend to us, keep making the sleds better every year, EVERY YEAR. They are sweet to ride, they are realiable, and we keep wanting more, but we just need to learn to be PATIENT AND REALISTIC.

16gs canadain for a 130hp sled is just plain stupid... i love the nytro, but at that price i expect more then 15-20lb reduction and still 130hp and the throw-away track..

Well said. I am actually really happy with the current product. It could always be better, and they are making needed changes.

I agree to 100%!
Didn't even expect this much for 2010, wow, an even better Nytro MTX, with an real track, new skid, better tunnel and so on, looks like a killer!
I had a feel (someone whispered in my ear) that 2011 is the model year we shall see Apex successor!

You can buy a ton more power for $16.3 CAD ($13K USD) on one of the other brands...but reliability is another story...

Still disappointed, maybe Ill buy a left-over 2010 model when the 2011 comes out...

I agree.....

I replied on the other post - what new for 2010....

The Rev chassis was 5 or 6 years old before they came out with the XP..what do some people expect?

from other posting - 2010???
They are making small, calculated advances in the line up. Oh, wait, do you want them to be like BRP and just throw sh*& out there and then after you invest $12,000 realilze that the tunnel sucks, the clutching is **** and oh the helicopter ride is extra?

I think they covered all basis without going out on a limb while Obama is tanking the economy! If you want more power, boost it! Want liter weight, keep the aftermarket guys in business and buys some stuff from them. Even if they come out with a 250 hp, 380 lb. mountain screamer, you are going to find something you don't like and mod it! Well this just gives you more room to mod, so it is 'your' machine!

Still the best line-up of any manufacturer in my opinion!

there is no way that yamaha will ever make a sled that will make every sledder happy, you know that, I know that, that's life. Let's just ride and not worry about s--t that will never get changed..

I moved into a Nytro this year after being a hardcore Doo guy for the past 13 years...and to say the least, I couldn't be happier. I new what I had to do and how much it was going to cost to make the sled do what I wanted...and I'm OK with that. I now have a reliable 270 hp machine that will take me places I never thought I could go. It may be heavier, but it feels just as nimble as my '08 XP now that I'm used to it. The best part is that I don't have to worry about folding my tunnel, snapping a jack shaft, cooking a motor or filling it with oil every ride! It's just gas and go from here on in...I may have to tune it in here and there, but I like that $hit!! When your in business, it doesn't take long to figure out that you're not going to be able to make every customer happy...you have to appeal to the masses and I think Yamaha does a pretty good job at that. Besides, with the economy the way it is...is it really in there best interest to put all the aftermarket out of business by offering a machine that has it all. It's all the little guys that keep the world going round:D

Cheers,

Kevin

Don't buy in Canada come across the border:D

i really like the changes they made on the nytro but a bit more power would have been nice the ca price is tough to take though but at 80 cents per amer$ the exchange would be 15500$can so unless you live close to the border its not worth it

True with current exchange it wouldn't be benificial and for $12600 I agree they should have at least made it 150hp still you have to admit there are some long overdue changes to yami's mountain line that are nice

Well this helps keep the used market for Yamaha's alive! Lol I think I better add a few grand to my Tapex for sale in the swap, 17099.00 for the 2010 Apex crossover:eek:

Wholesale changes across the board (except the engine, which has been proven time and time again to produce around 10 HP more than it's 130 HP rating. This testing done while the engines are new, and not after break-in).

Maybe the best functioning factory suspension available to date (even though it may not be the lightest)

New track, new skid, new tunnel, new front end, factory co-development of parts with Camoplast as well as Fox.

Geezus! Short of a price that is close to free, how much more can you ask from a manufacturer in a year.

I think alot of guys are just pizzed 'cause it isn't boosted... their wives won't let them buy a huffer for the sled they have, but they might sneak it in if they bought a new sled!

I am very impressed with what Yammi has done. It may not be the "be all, end all", but they really went the extra mile to 'change what needs a changin', while still making a reliable, and marketable sled.

The price is high, but hey... have ya priced float 2's lately?
That in itself explains the price hike.

one really good thing about the new s.e.... completely ready for a turbo. dont have to put the longer track in. skid will work great with the floats to help weelie action. and hopefully the new track will withstand the boost and not fold paddles over!

The Nytro SE looks like a great sled, a few improvements over the previous model. However it is still a 130hp sled and has to compete with 150hp sleds so it is at a real disadvantage in that department. The biggest dissappointment for me is the price here in canada. Last year it was a little over 13K and now over 16K yikes that should have got us the Apex motor too.

well said!!!!!!

Keep it real boys. The Nytro still ain't a mountain sled. Sure some groovy changes, well thought out improvements, but, reality sucks guys, some of you can keep trying to convince us (or you ) that its a mountain riders choice to ride stock. C'mon, it ain't true and we all know it. Great sled, awesome reliability and easy to carve, but in FUN snow, like steep powder, deep powder tree riding, not many would make their first choice a heavy 130 HP wanna be mountain sled. And yeah I know, you can buy one of the most expensive sleds then spend MORE coin on lightweight , but why, sure you can get the weight down and then you'll have a lighter 130 HP sled that still won't compete with the M8, XP, or the D8 that are lighter with 150 ish HP. Whats the point.
And yeah yeah, I know, you ride yours and follow your buddies everywhere. Baloney, been there, rode with that, saw it again and again, actually only happens on the internet. In the deep powder we all love, it DON'T compete. Thats reality and we all know it.
So, my opinion, sadly, is Yammi is gonna lose some of the market share it worked so hard for the last 3 years or so. Thats too bad, the boost guys will still be on board, but the number of stock riding Yammi guys is gonna shrink again. Whatever their reasons,.....they didn't listen.
