ever had a POS truck?

I call either the magic can of head gasket remover. Works great at removing gaskets and can even stretch bolts! Try that with any other gasket scraper on the market.

Confused

"Spending time under the hood"
"Replacing trannies"

I'm very unfamiliar with any of this........oh wait, it's coming back to me now.....it's been a couple of years.....
Yeah, yeah, back when I used to buy from the big three......I remember

This is your worst F' up. What the he11 are you using ether on that thing for?
You want to ruin that motor. I also have a 1991 f-350 and I have always had problems with it. It had a blown diesel in it when I bought it 'cause they used ether to try to start it. When you blow the motor let me know and I will come pick it up from you free of charge, I need some parts for mine.

well its got about 300k on it and the guy that had it before me cold started it and towed a 5th wheel with it when ever he drove it. needless to say its wore out. well if it blows up, ill sell ya the block for 250

charge up the batts then take the - battery cable off. put a test light between the cable and the battery post - side if it lights up even a little then you have something drawing on the battery and you will need to find out what. if the starter is bad they can do that.

ill have to try that

If you want help with your ford check out thedieselstop.com great info on cold starts. Try thinner oil in the winter and check your Glow plug relay. You can use a screwdriver to short the (2) big terminals on the GPR if it sparks when your wait to start light is on your relay is shot.

no GPR i put in a push button and bypassed it about 4 years ago

The starter probably is shot, drawing too many amps.
I replaced mine last weekend along with the glow controller. Starts great
I never use ether on engines.

----- Gimpster -----

new starter and alternator last december, could still be shot but ill check all those out

Maybe you should take a hit of ether yourself and THEN try to start it? Better yet, fire up a smoke!
