Well I bought a sled from Richard in Idaho who is friends with Kevin at Kmod. 2009 Nytro, 270HP MCXpress kit, Kmod with Raptors, Skinz front end with Raptors, Shockwave helix etc. When I picked up the sled I went to start it. Moment of truth because it had been sitting at my friends father-in-laws place for a month. Sled fires right up and I mean right up. Sounds awesome. Sled looked great. Tunnel had a nice polish, plastic was nice, nothing bent in the suspension, track was in good shape with no missing lugs etc. Seat had a tiny tear that was repaired(nice attention to detail). Everything was clean, especially for a 4 year old mod sled. I finally got a chance to run it and I am super impressed so far. Engine is really strong. I had to tow out my new sled with it and the Nytro got a little hot so I pulled the hood plastic off. There is not a drip of oil, coolant or grease ANYWHERE under the hood. Super happy, best 11.5 I ever spent. We didn't get into the back country this trip, I will post a vid when I do.

Yep, I did this summer. I bought a Powderlites apex from Philsummers on here. Sled fired right up & ran as expected. I had to do a couple little things to it but, he sent me the parts it needed with the sled.

Glad it worked out as good for you as it did for me... :face-icon-small-hap

I traded a rifle last year plus a small amount of cash for a used Phazer that was chained to a post in a parking lot with a for sale sign on it last year, without looking at it too hard.

I came out way on top due to the trade as far as my investment for what I got. There was a small exhaust leak that was easy enough to take care of, otherwise the sled was perfect and my wife used it all last season.

I was in the process of looking for a sled for her so she could ride with me and my new nytro, and was planning on looking at an m7 later that day, when I drove by, called the numer on the sign and made the deal right there for the phazer.

Even though I ended up selling the sled this summer, it was fun to play around on last year.

havent bought a sled, but i did buy a yamaha grizzly from new york and had it shipped to north dakota. i saved a few grand compared to what they are going for around here. only repair was a torn cv boot. it is a little scary, but it can work out for you in the end! i think you just have to expect a few small things to need fixing or repair.

yeah, it's spooky buying stuff unseen; I bought a secondary from the Vanamberg guys, had to send a check, and they shipped it even before they got the check!! Trust goes both ways, and I was WAY happy with the clutch.

but then again, I bought a xr250 from Crawford's out of Missoula, and they were working on it when I went to pick it up. I waited for them to get done, fired it up and rode it into my rig. Got it home and it made it a half an hour and died; I took it back to them and when they told me it was "done", my wife picked it up. I went to start it, and CRUNCH, the whole case was JB welded together!! NNice work guys... I called them and got the:sorry: BS- nice place:face-icon-small-dis

Just bought a sled after seeing only pictures. Picked it up and it was what I expected for the price.

I bought a custom chopper after only pictures. Sent a bunch of money to someone I had only talked on the phone with once. Had the bike shipped from New Jersey to North Dakota and it was what I expected and more.

So far I have been really lucky. I am sure sooner or later I will get stung. I just trust that carma will bitchslap anyone that screws anyone else over.

thinksnow I think you have something there. Karma, eye for an eye, you reap what you sow, golden rule, what goes around comes around, paybacks a beach, etc. The universe seems to even things out and it's a pretty universal concept that you get what you give. I am super careful selling stuff to make sure to describe it as best I can. I NEVER expect to get screwed and have been pretty lucky. I sell a ton of stuff on the web through my business and rarely have any issues. If we do we bend over backwards to make the customer happy. Some customers are never happy but they are pretty rare.
