Ever been left totally alone at the dealership?

What Klim helmet do you want, I've got a brand new one with tags still attached that I'll sell for $300 shipped. Silver/Black. Size Large. Bag and all accessories.

I tried on the Klim and the XL was to loose. The L was real tight on my cheeks, I don't know if I could use to that. What do the Klim helmets retail for? Thanks for the offer.

I'd rather not be hasseled. I got history with my dealer, they know me by name. When I go in, they say 'hi' then wait for me to tell THEM what I want. It's the reason I keep going back, and sometimes pay a little more for parts ordered from the shop then online.

Yah that is the way I am. I like to go in and look at what I want then they seem to know when i am ready and will ask me for assistance.

This is how it should be. If you are a mod rider it should especially be like this with the parts guys. If you're in there they should also be able to remember what you're running for the most part too, I know the guys I go through do.

When I walk into my dealer he just usually asks me how its going and thats about it. If I need anything Ill go to the front desk and ask. I also dont mind paying a little extra to get my parts from him. Last winter I needed a part he didnt have in stock. Without this part I wouldve lost 2 weeks of riding and after I was going out of town until the season was over. He gladly took the part of a brand new sled on the floor and showed me how to install it.

Good dealers are hard to find. If you find one then stick with them and dont haul *** to the next shop over cause they can give you a new sled for $400 less.

Klim comes with 2 sets of cheek pads, and has several other sets ranging in thikness. Mine has the 20mm in it, and the 25 mm as an extra set. I would probably get the 15mm if the 20mm didn't break in after a few rides.
The helmet retails for $375. I'll sell mine $300 to your door, or anybodys door for that matter.
Tags are still attached to it.

Worst dealership I have ever stepped into. I wrecked a sled last year and had to have a dealer appraisal. The Edge came up with a figure of $2300. Took it to Wellers to get their opinion only because they are the only Ski Doo peeps I would allow to work on it. They deemed it totaled. $7000 in damage. They pulled the clutch and saw rubbing which indicated bent tunnel. Then it was off to the races. That was just one experience. I have had many ignored visits to The Edge Motor Sports. Sad thing is, they are only 4 miles from my house.Thumbs Down for sure.
Wellers are good peeps! Im with ya Ron Im neighbors with South Valley Motorsports and drive to Kamas when my Yammis need anything.

now this is a super sore spot for me up north in Saskatoon, SK.
ALL YES ALL of our dealers here a an F'ing joke...especially ProLine Morotosports
i tried to give business to them TWICE and they wouldnt have it
tried to buy a brand new Kodiak 400, but it was literally 2100 cheaper in Calgary @ Blackfoot
asked them to match the price (minus 300 fo gas for me to go get it)....
toldme they DIDNT WANT MY BUSINESS AND TO GO TO CALGARY TO GET IT!!!!
R U F'ing kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!
then i was looking for an M8, they had one...so i started to talk price w the dude
it was 1 yr old, w like 2500kms on it...wanted MORE...yes MORE than a brand new one from another dealer 45mins away.......
what did they do...TOLD ME GO TO BUY IT THERE, THEY DONT WANT MY BUSINESS!!!

that was it for me...i literally just about knocked the dude out...both times...

anyways, i could go on for hours.....
i'll go on record again to SAY THAT PROLINE MOTORSPORTS IN SASKATOON, SK IS A JOKE!!!

I was not at all pleased with The Edge Motorsports last year, to the point that I gave up the deposit I had down on my 08 XP so that I wouldn't have to keep talking to them and getting treated like a retard (After a few years as a mechanic at another dealership and a lifetime of doing my own mods, even I know that no matter how good an electric start system is, it will not make a sled lighter, if it did I would have wanted to spend the extra money to pay for the kit that they had taken the liberty of installing on my sled????). On the other hand, every time I have walked into ADS Motorsports in Ogden, everyone stops (even if they are helping someone else), smiles, and greets with something along the lines of "How are you today? Feel free to look around and we would be happy to help if you need something or just have questions." Very good way to greet the type of customer that typically walks through the door of a dealer. No pressure, but still very friendly and helpful.

Remindes me of looking at boats last year with my buddy. It was 1 hour till closing time and they were putting the boat we wanted to look at in the shop. ( 26" Cobalt) Keep in mind we were driving my buddys spare beat up Blazer. We asked if we could see it and the old man told us sorry but we could never afford it anway so NO. He bought a 29" Fountain the next weekend. The same dealer called my mom all summer trying to sell here another Cobalt. Sorry CDA Yaught Club, You will never see another red cent from us.

At the Skit Doo dealership in my town there is almost never anyone in the front. I usually look around and find what I want then go in the back and find them bsing.

At the yamahaw shop there is usually at least two employees in the front and they stumble over themselves to ask if they can help. The only problem with them is last time I was there it was with my wife to look for a helmet for her. The girl helping us imediately took my wife to the modular helmets and started the sales pitch on them. I thought to myself, she...my wife...will not like this. I was wrong, she liked the modulars. I had to step in and say no to the modular. I immediately told my wife we had to leave and then had her pizzed cause I didn't let her finish looking at the helmets.

I'll stick to the ski doo shop. That was a dirty trick the yamahaw girl pulled.

I like yo see how stupid the salesman are when I go in somewhere.

Local polaris shop

salesman: Hi! Welcome to Dingleberry Polaris is there any thing I can help you with?

Me: No thanks, just looking

(8 seconds later, while i'm looking at the new sleds)

salesman: Thats the new Polaris RMX

Me: Huh, when did the they change the name?

salesman: I think it was two years ago

Me: How does the new track work?

salesman: Awesome!

Me: define awesome

salesman: really good

Me: Do you guys have any 163's in stock?

salesman: Nope just 800's right now

Me: Why do you work here?

salesman: cause I love snowmobiling

me: what kind of sled do you have?

salesman: sled?

Me: sled, you know slang for snowmobile

salesman: oh don't actually have one biut i've been out before

me: (walking out the door)

salesman: Thanks, let me know if you'd like a price on this RMX!

seems to me all the dealers in the salt lake valley suck. Kevco has good luck with Mtn High Polaris(?) or somethin but the rest of them arent worth fish guts from what Ive seen. Ive had the same experience at Edge and South Valley. Having said that most dealers have their +'s and -'s. some just seem to be all -'s.

Yacht club been trying to sell me a new boat for the last three years. Finally went in to check out the new Malibu's this spring cause they tell me only way to move from my existing slip at the resort and into a new slip at Blackwell island is to purchase a new boat from them. I thought they were kidding initially. Reluctantly I went in and looked at the boats the old man hardly gave me the time of day. I was interested in working the numbers for gee wiz and he tells me the price is on the sticker like I'm some kind of retard (who pays retail for a $90,000 boat?) That was the first and last opportunity they had with me. Ended up going to the new Master craft dealership the next week and purchasing a new boat. Gladly gave me a great deal. The following week I get a call from the marina manager that they have a new slip ready to go for me (i had been on a waiting list for 2 years) Unbelievable.

i have two guys i work with one i buy sleds from which is about 350 miles away and i have bought 2 from him in the last 4 years and all i have to do is call him up say my name and he knows who it is and what sled i have had and tells me what i should do or need, he is great mechanic to boot. And for the trivial stuff close to home i have a guy same thing never bought a sled from but buy parts and he knows what myslef and my freinds run. only had one bad experice with a dealer had money in hand wife and i went in was going to get a sled and was there for about a half hour no one ever came buy. So left went right next door and bought my first sled a yamha mm 700 and the rest is history!!
