So I took a late lunch today and went to The Edge Motorsports in Draper UT. I wanted to check out the new Klim stuff and I am in the market for a new helmet.

I walk in and look at some ATVs, then some dirt bikes, then the new Summits on the floor before arriving at the Klim display. Spent a few minutes there and went to look at Helmets. Tried on a few helmets but didn't find the color I liked on the one that I liked the way it fit.

I headed back up front and stopped to check out the CanAm wheelers, never taken a close look before. Then I headed out the door.

In all I was there 20 -25 minutes. Not a single person in the place said Hello, need some help or goodbye. The place wasn’t busy either. Just seemed strange to me to be there that long and not one salesman approached me.

Are you complaining? lol Sometimes it just bothers me when I wanna look at stuff..and having 2-3 people asking or eyeing me...like i'm going to try on a coat and run or something. If I want help, I'd rather go ask for it, than feel like i'm being hounded.

Most times you go in thinking I hope they don't bother me. The one time you want to ask a question you couldn't find anyone even if you had a wad of cash in your hand. Murphy's law.

That happens every once and a while to me. I just chalk it up as they aren't working on commission. Perhaps there are other places in your neck of the woods that would be willing to help you out and take your money

they should have at least greeted you and told you to ask if you have any questions. It would be nice to go to any sales place and not have everyone trying to sell you somthing though.

its a catch 22. sometimes you want help and othertimes you want to be left the heck alone! You would think someone would say hi though. The dealership i go to is usually the same, they are hanging out in there office's and wait for you to bother them most of the time.

sounds like the fun center In Durango Co. Last time i was there they did not even have a belt for my 900 Rmk ? Not either one that will work on that sled and about half the polaris sleds out there! Pathetic!

I have zipped into a place and looked at what I wanted to see and then zip out. But I have never spent that much time in a place and not talked to anyone that works there.

Also I don't want this to be a thread basing the place it just seemed strange to me.

Sometimes when a guy has money to spend it just take one question Cash or Credit? I do need a new helmet.

I have been there three times now and not once had any one say hi or ask if I need help finding any thing. The other day I rolled my 700 king quad up at American Fork canyon and busted some stuff on the machine. I stood at the service counter for 15 minutes with my leg from the knee down covered in blood while several guys walked past. Finally I got one guy to stop and talk to me. I told him what happened and he said that he couldn't help me and he said that I would need to go to the parts department. So I went over to parts and stood there for another ten minutes waiting for the parts guy to stop talking to another employee about thumpertalk.com.
I finally got sick of waiting and headed north to go home. On the way home I stopped off at Layton Cycle. Walked into the service department and in 2 minutes I had the service guy on my trailer looking at my machine and figuring out what parts I needed. Then he walked with me to the parts department and gave them a list. In 10 minutes I had a parts list and a total price on what it would cost to fix my quad.
Lets just say that I will never go to The Edge Motorsports again.
Just my 2c.

Rant over. Sorry

You aren't the only ones to have bad luck with them. I won't even go back into their store. And they give me a 10% discount cause I got my sled from them. They have Sh!#* mechanics that don't know what the #$#$ they are doing. I am surprised they are still even in business right now with all the bridges they have burned. They do not get people to come back for service thats for sure. Oh by BTW that place has had like 5 different names in the past 5 years. It's not just the snowmobiles that they have problems with it's everything in the shop.

Sometimes I find dealers who sale sleds and don't know what they are dealing with. Not pointing to any particular dealer but if you sale something please have at least one person that knows snowmobiles. I like to be left alone BUT at least have someone willing to help me when I need it. A good example of this is Best Buy, bad example is WalMart.

I'd rather not be hasseled. I got history with my dealer, they know me by name. When I go in, they say 'hi' then wait for me to tell THEM what I want. It's the reason I keep going back, and sometimes pay a little more for parts ordered from the shop then online.

Reminds me of a shop in WA that i sometimes go to if it's the last place on the list. I usually call around to see if someone has a part and this particular shop never has anyone pick up in the parts/service department. I'll sit on hold for a couple minutes until the receptionist comes back on the phone and says that everyone in parts must be "too busy." So i drive to the shop and sure enough, there's six guys behind the counter sitting on each other's thumbs. Kinda pisses me off.

Would be nice to browse the showroom floor though without getting leg humped.

I went to a dealer the other day. Walked in, was checking out a M8. Salesguy walked out of the office, asked "do you want me to bother you today" I said "nope". DONE

That is nice, basiclly saying do you want me to waste both of our time..or are you wanting something.

Worst dealership I have ever stepped into. I wrecked a sled last year and had to have a dealer appraisal. The Edge came up with a figure of $2300. Took it to Wellers to get their opinion only because they are the only Ski Doo peeps I would allow to work on it. They deemed it totaled. $7000 in damage. They pulled the clutch and saw rubbing which indicated bent tunnel. Then it was off to the races. That was just one experience. I have had many ignored visits to The Edge Motor Sports. Sad thing is, they are only 4 miles from my house.Thumbs Down for sure.

What Klim helmet do you want, I've got a brand new one with tags still attached that I'll sell for $300 shipped. Silver/Black. Size Large. Bag and all accessories.

If I just want to look I will put on my rags and drive my beater. When I get there my first question is if they can finance with out a credit check. I get left alone.
