I remember a great interview with him on Jim Rome. Rome asked him why he would try and jump the Snake River Gorge if he knew he only had a coin flips chance of survical. Knievel didn't bat an eye and said "Do you know who the hell I am?".

That was the best interview EVER ! ! !

I was lucky enough to meet EK about 6 years ago at the rally and he sat and talked till too many people gathered, I'm glad I got his autograph, a true legend.

The best part about him was that he was a terrific patriot and great american and not like these rapper tattooed trash talking pro athelete jerks of today.

I saw him jump in Missoula mt in the mid sixties and he made it. The year before he wasn't so lucky he ended up spending quite few months in ST. Pats hospital. Condolences to his family.May he rest in peace.
