EV vent hose diameter for extension?

Search is still horrible on SW...but I know its been asked/answered before.

Should I just extend the current hose with a barb fitting and additional hose? Or replace the hose from EV and get a length that will run to the can exit hole?

Just hoping to make 1 trip to the hw store. Thanks!

1/4" id

I drilled a 1/2" hole directly below where the stock hose sits and poked it thu the plastic.

No issues in 2.5 years.

No messing with extensions.

Hot exhaust gasses keep the hose ice free.

It vents right in front of the swaybar mount.

Best of all is no worrying like some nancy's about melting hoses or hose size or length or where to run it to.


Oh and use Google to search snowest.
Works awesome.

Thanks, so the stock hose is long enough to get it out through the plastic? I'll have to look close tomorrow and see where it needs a hole. I like the idea.

The zip tye is holding the hose away from the pipe.
