i have an 09 800 rmk shift(144). it will only pull about 7900 rpm under load. Sometimes i can get 8000 on hardpack. Told it could possibly be the ethanol plug. where is this located and what exactly does it look like?

Hey,

on my 2010 the plug is located inside the engine compartment on the clutch side. you may have to remove the side panel. Its directly back from the clutch. Small light blue(almost clear plug).

Only connect if good gas!

It's the pink one and the black one with a light blue stripe. Put them together and it's leaner.

In other words don't run them plugged in unless you are sure you are running quality, non-ethenol fuel! They do run noticably better when on good fuel and plugged in.

i always run premium, which is around 91 oct. at the gas station around here. So i should have them plugged in then correct?
