Ethanol Fuel

If the station is selling an ethanol blend, is it stated right on the pump? Basically wondering how to tell.

mtbe is now banned from fuel so most evey fuel blend has a perscent of ethanol in it as far as I Know that is why a while back texas had a big uproar about it and tried to reverse it but congress luckly shut it down and said you will run it, every place around here has it marked very clear on what percent they have but when you get out west I am not sure on that a 90% ethanol blend is not even realalistic for the back country simply because you would need to cary to much in with you to make a day of riding and as far as I know they do not even offer a 90% blend it tipicaly is transfered as 98% and then blended. in a high performance say the late model or a modified a 98% is best because it has a high octane rating the same with methanol just about identical on the dyno the methanol will tipically see a little more horse power than ethanol that is why you see methanol run more than ethanol in the dirt world every little bit hp will help you on the track as far as running a lower blend of ethanol be it 10 20 30 even50% the snowmobile world can benefit from it from a performance end .

its easy to tell how much blend you putting in most places around here if it just says ethenal it is a 10% blend. Other wise it will have a blender pump in which it says i think 20% 30% and 85% you can choose what you want to put into you vehicle sled or what ever. And for the very very fist post on this thread when i read it I thought you were talkeing about saying no to all ethenol in vehicles and everything why get ride of all ethenal if you just dont want to run it in your sled. I am a corn farmer and i run ethenal a 10% in my vehchcles and in my 4 wheelers and everything but my sled i have run it a few times when filling out here on the farm if im in town i will put in reg. I have never taken my motors apart and looked but i couldnt tell the difference in power or fuel millage in them. I run bio desil in my tractors in the summer and switch in the winter. The only time i can see that ethenal would hurt a motor real bad is if you would put a 85% or higher in a vehicle or sled or what have ya and the motor wasnt rated for it. I dont want everyone to get bent out of shape and quit useing ethenal, especialy when most pumps are only a 10% blend which wont hurt nothing. thats my rant
