Ethanol Fuel

Don't use it. Burned out a piston in my Summit 800 and local dealer says cause was leaving ethanol fuel in tank even though fuel stabilizer was present. Says E10 is only good for 30 days then will clog carb, idle jets first with result oil injector doesn't work properly. I believe him, cost me plenty to fix. You can still buy non ethanol fuel if you look around and now the Feds want to increase it to 15% which is even worse. My advice-don't use ethanol fuel in any 2 cycle engine.

Most folks don't have that option, and their sleds do just fine.

If you know you're going to store it long term, and are concerned about the ethanol, you could run it down & put some av gas in there, as it stores long term much better.

That said, thousands of people store their sleds over the summer every year with ethanol fuel...

My issue with ethanol is with the politics, not the performance.

There are 2 sides to this debate.
Damned few with an opinion can be swayed from one side to the other side.

So for the love of everything Holy, can we stop the endless beating of this horse which has been dead for so long that the rot is long gone from the carcass?
