Ethanol Free Premium Coalition

Here's a link to a coalition trying to preserve our right to have access to non-ethanol gasoline for special applications, including snow machines. It's new so there is not a lot of info. There is a forum to join, and a contact list for email notices. They suggested starting a list of stations selling non-ethanol fuel in Idaho. I'm sure someone has more info than I do on this. Just trying to get something going before the new legislative session opens. I know legislators respond to emails on bills.

Who wrote the second paragraph on the home page under "Prohibit Ethanol Blending In All Premium Unleaded Gasoline"?

And, oxygenated fuels are here to stay, good luck finding pump fuels that are not. So why not list your oxygenate of choice and the reasons why. And while you're at it, list the benefits and drawbacks of your prefered oxygenate.

I think there is a place for it and even run it since I can send my money here and not to the middle east, but with that said our current method of production is not a good one. We need to change some things.

WOW, didn't know topics about choices would generate venom. Read it and leave it if it doesn't interest you. No reason to get pissy. I prefer to choose what to run in my sled according to the direction of the local shop - SLP. I run 10% ethanol in my truck with no problem if needed. Don't have a problem with ethanol, just choices.

This might be a dumb question but, what does running ethanol in a sled do? Does it hurt the motor somehow? Detonation?
