etec turbo install finshed

from the little testing we did with the areo fuel controller, we found that it had around a second hessitation then spooled hard and ran good, air/fuel was around 13.8 and boost around 7pounds

wow thats really lean for a turbo'd anything.

no that is good on a etec. because fueling happens in a totally different way that a 800 r motor. the engine uses less fuel and combustion happens directly on top of the piston. no flame front on the exhaust side of the piston.

how many guys have had there etec head off?

well had some fun today at the farm at 2700 feet, we had some time to drive the stubble feilds, and took the trask out with the areo fuel controller

this etec has only 70 miles on it, and does not have the latest flash yet on the ecm, after running it 20 miles air fuel was around the 13.7 on wot, and clickers were droped to 1, around the 8100rpm, boost stuck around the 7 to 8 psi, and HOLY MAN IS IT STRONG

the other sled was a tnitro, running 220hp and when we would race, the etac hessitation would give the tnitro the 20 foot hole shot, then the etec would light and pull skis around a foot in the air, track speed around 70mph in less than three seconds, and pull by the tnitro hard, like no comparsion, we did this 10 times and every time it was the same results

so from what i seen with the trask, this kit is looking to make clamed hp, hopefully the correct fuel controller fixes the hessitation:face-icon-small-hap

I am very interested in the turbo etec. My last ride was in Kakwa in cold temps and around 5500-6000' elevation and the power of my 2010 XP on that day is all I need. To get that type of power at 8000' in warmer temps where we normally ride would be very cool.

I rode a T Nytro and that is not for me (makes me remember why I hated my RT 1000). Some type of small turbo that is reliable and gets 160hp in an XP at 7-8000' should be a great seller, better yet, have a boost compensation system to keep the 160hp at all elevations. I know I would buy one.
