I am going to Estes Park with my wife in September this year, and I wondered if anybody has ATV rental to recommend? And which trails do you recommend, we are experienced trailriders from Norway.

And is the Trail Ridge Road open in middle of september??

Google traildamage.com They are a good source for off road trails all over colorado and other states. As far as a rental place, I have no idea. Just a FYI Estes will be insane with crowds coming in town to check out the elk. You will be amazed with how close stupid people will get to them. prob not a bad idea to bring a video camera, you might get the chance to see some dumb a$$ get ran over buy a bull.
Hope the website helps.

Trail Ridge Road is open in September subject to a freak fall snow, Colorado Department of Transportation--CDOT--is a good site to get info. I believe there is a Scotch-Irish festival in Estes sometime in Sept.

Rocky Mountain National Park is CLOSED to all Off road vehicles. Grand Lake--on the west side of the divide of TRR-- has a fairly extensive trail system and a good place to start is Spirit Lake Polaris. 3rd week in Sept is usually an excellent Aspen viewing time and be prepared to meet up with a moose or two on the trails of Grand Lake.
