engine swap

Hey i have a 2005 polaris fusion 900, just wondering if i can swap the engine to a 06 fusion 600. Thanks

You want to put an 05 engine in an 06 chassis?

An 05 should go into an 06 pretty easy as long as you take all the electronics and other associated parts along with it.

thanks for the replies , but what i meant was will an 06 600 engine bolt up in a 05 900 fusion

I know the 05 motor can go in an 06 chassis but not the other way around because of the steering column if I'm not mistaken.... someone else can chime in at anytime now LOL

A 06 600 Fusion motor will not fit in a 05 900 Fusion chassis.

05 & 06 700/900 motors and chassis's are interchangeable, but the 600 chassis and motor have completely different motor mounts.

Read this, should be pretty close to what you want to do. It can be done but there is a lot of custom work to be done, not a direct bolt up, a lot of things need to be changed.

Just make sure you read the stickies on the 900. Follow them rules and advice and your 900 will rock and not have any reliability issues.... I have 3 900's and for the most parts they are all running stock 06 parts.
