How easily will an 800 motor out of a gen 2 fit into an 700 edge chassis?

Change engine straps ,carb boots you'll have to adjust the exhaust a little as the motor sits a bit different but no biggy.
Thats pretty much what I thought but I wasn't sure. Will all the wiring for the headlight and gauges and stuff plug right in?

Yes, the only thing electrical you change is the CDI . All other wires stay the same.
