Engine braking / Secondary spring rate

I have a question re secondary spring rate and the 4 stokes. On my 800s I use a Dalton green yellow that is a much stiffer spring both at the bottom and at the final rate. In my 800 it provides a lot more belt squeeze and instant backshift. My question is... has anyone tried this type of setup on the 1100t? Does it cause annoying engine braking? Also any advice on different helix's reverse cut or otherwise that work well on the 1100. Thanks.

I have found that the primary spring has more effect on the engine braking. If you have a soft engagement spring it will "hold" the belt longer on decel and cause the engine braking sensation to be more apparent than a stiffer start rate. I like a spring on the primary that starts around 130-140 pounds with a finish rate of around 310-340. This is with the stock weights. On the MDS, you want your start rate around 75 to 100 lbs. with the same finish rate.
