If you are on a tight budget, I'd make sure you get a trailer that is 7' 6" tall just in case you ever want to put a side by side in there and at least 8' wide (preferably 8' 6"). Insulation, aluminum wheels, furnace, etc. can be added by you down the road as your budget loosens up a bit. Don't get sucked into the Steel vs. Alum debate. People have very strong opinions about steel vs. alum (it's almost like a religion). In reality there are good and poorly manufactured brands of both types. If you really want to know what will hold up, check out the trailers at the parking lots and ask their owners what they think of them. Ask how old they are and how much/hard they've been used, then you can determine what brand handles the extreme conditions of winter towing the best.
