Does you trailer have the inside fender wheels? If so, is it any inconveince? Does the trailer pull that much better being lower to the ground? I know it would help some with gas milage:D
 
I have a mirage with inside wells and it is not a problem at all. They are ramped so you just ride your ski right over it. They are only 3-4" tall overall. Not a big deal.
 
My Interstae is a sled/car trailer and its just as easy to use as a sled only trailer . Since it sits lower to the ground the ramps aren't as bad as a taller trailer.
 
If I ever bought another, I'd go with the lower ride with the inner fender wells. Keeps the center of gravity lower, and the overall height lower. Can't hurt for wind resistance or side winds.
 
I just bought an 8x20 "low rider"!! I wanted one that has the inner wells because they are alot lower and CHEAPER than a snowmobile trailer. I also bought one with no front ramp. Everybody I know has reverse so having a "solid" front gives you a ton of storage space.
 
Fenders

Bought an inline 29' American Hauler last year and there are no inner fenders. Flat floor seven feet wide and about six feet inner head room. Low to ground and pulls much easier than an 8' trailer with wheels underneath. Staggered loading with four mountain sleds gives lots of room for gear up front too.
 
I love my Triton's lower center of gravity, they put runners over the wheel wells so your ski glides right over them. I also like the fact you can run heavier duty axles and tires and still keep the trailer lower.
On my new trailer, I'm not going to install the wheel well cabinet as its a pain to move the sleds around the hump rather than going over it.

I have a goose that has 10" inner fender wells so you have to load two in frontwards and two in backwards. Too high for drive over ramps. Semi hassle but with modern sleds and reverse it's not a bad sacrefice for a much lower center of gravity and superior towing. On our Mirage four place multi use trailers with fenders there are drive over ramps and they work perfectly. Once again a big advantage for towing with full size tires/wheels/axels the lower center of weight distribution without to much room sacrefice inside is very valuable. We spend alot of time in transit on horrible roads and a good towing trailer is worth it's weight in gold!
 
I have a charmac encolsed car / sled trailer. The reasons I like it are #1 its lower to the ground #2 the floors are thicker #3 you get a full sized 15 inch wheel and to put decent tires on. (helps if you wanna drive over 80 mph) ;) #4 its lower so your ramps are not nearly as steep. I drive 2 in the front and 2 in the back and so you only have to drive over the hump 1 time if you do it right. Good luck with your purchase.

As stated above, I too just bought a 28' Charmac Tri-Sport. Put ski glides over the fenders and load all 4 in the front ramp and out the back, no reversing. I also like that as soon as I'm done paying for college (dam kids) I can actually haul a hot rod in it. I can also load and haul my Polaris Ranger crew. Lots of interior height. It does pull great compared to my last Charmac sno-sport and the Wells Cargo before that. Good luck. EW
