Electrical Problems 09 D8 Turbo

I started having some electrical problems on my 09 D8 turbo last spring after a full top and bottom rebuild. I had 3 rides on the rebuild, 100ish miles, and all of a sudden lost power to all my gauges, sled kept running fine but i shut her down to check.

gauges= factory HUD and aftermarket AFR powered by high beam circuit in hood assembly. Dobeck box keeps power.

Opened up the hood and wiggled the wiring harness, didn't see any loose connections and started her back up again. gauges worked fine. let me dobeck box cycle for a sec and took off. gauges went out in 50 yards. shut her down again, looked for loose connections again and nothing. started up and gauges worked fine... as soon and i started moving gauges went out. I was 200 yards from the truck so i ran her in and loaded up. snow was crap, put the sled away and got out the dirt bike.

I started the sled a few times over the summer and what i learned was the that electrical loss is rpm dependent. I can start it, rev it up, and warm it all the way up, but as soon as i reach engagement rpm i loose power.

I am going to start looking at it soon and i figured i would get a topic out there and see if anyone has seen this before.

Thanks!!

Brandon

X2 on the v.r.! That's where I would start. No shortage of v.r. Troubles with the dragons. If that's the problem... Glad you caught it before it took out the ecu. I'm almost positive I've got a working vr from my dragon years in the shop somewhere. I'd be more then happy to drop it in the mail to ya if you wanna plug it in and give it a try

I think that would be a good place to start! I honestly have no idea where to start... intermittent electrical problems suck! PM me for a price on that thing and we can go from there! thanks.
