Electrical help/ shop wiring

So I've started building my shop here in Island Park. This will be my second shop I've built DIY style. When I built my first I had a 200 amp service at my house, I ran conduit from the shop breaker to the house meter and did a double tap. Basically the feed to the house breaker box, and the shop breaker shared the same lugs. Worked fine for eight years and didn't get any flack from the home inspector when I sold. Hoping to go the same route on this one. Question is here in Idaho I have to pull a permit for the meter install and not sure this method will pass muster with the county, Any thoughts? Thanks for any insight... William Sr.

as long as the meter base will accept double lugs ( you can't put 2 wires under one lug) AND you have a disconnect on the shop building (main breaker panel inside will do) and one at the service point of the house. Must be on the same side of the wall as the disconnect to the house.

So can I get an adapter that will connect to the meter lug that will allow two connections per lug? Thanks for the help....
