egt temp concern

I just got my jaws twins on my 2007 M1000 I have duel egts and my temps are 977 on the pto side and 1110 on the mags side. is this to high and should they be closer or is this normal to be that much differnace. i have a BD box and timbersled intake on the sled aswell should i have a fuel pressure regulator on there as well?
 
You are safe at those levels, you can use the trim on the BD box to make the temps closer, you should be able to run safely in the high 1100s low 1200s, also sometimes a torn or loose intake boot can cause higher egts on one side

Here is my 2 cents the numbers do not mean much with out looking at the piston wash for that give temp. I have seen some sleds run in the upper 1300's all day and others burn down at 1050. There are a lot of factors that can be different from sled to sled. I would find a nice place to do a wide open pull and see what the temps do and then check to piston wash to see how it is running at those temp.

I know my 09 M8 runs about 1100 in the trees, 1200 on long climbs and can easily peg 1300 in the midrange while riding up the trail. Piston wash shows that it may actualy be running a bit rich and plugs look fine, nice light brown. On the trail cats run super hot egt's and there's not really too much you can do about it. If it climbs above comfort level just pin the throttle and they should go back down. I was worried last year but now I just ignore it.
 
Jaws pipes, timbersled intake, bd fuel controller

I just recently put jaws on mine and have a timbersled intake I have the 0-3000 pipes. I didn't get the right clamps for my koso egt's so I have been waiting for parts. I also have a BD control box. I had to add more fuel @ the 3000 RPM and the 5000 RPM, which from jaws they have O's across the board. What fuel pressure are you @? I am around 44psi. What Altitude are you running @? I still seem to have a bobble @ 6800-7200 and it's only when I instantly mash the throttle then it picks up to 7800. If I steadily open the throttle it seems fine. I also heard that @ sea level that the timbersled intake on the M1000 has a problem with not enough air flow, I am still in the tuning mode and have not been able to compare with anyone with the same configuration as me @ 0-3000ft. Any advice would be great.
 
do plug reads..to get egt baseline temps....wash takes too long..

X2! Do plug check at various sustained throttle positions and compare to what your EGT's are telling you to get a feel for how accurate your readings are.
JFYI....my STOCK M7 ran just below 1400* in the midrange and was only in the high 900's at full throttle and the plugs reflected these numbers. After some mods I did a BD box and aimed for 1200 midrange and 1200-1250 at full throttle and the sled has been running like this for 3 years. Use the trim to get L/R cylinders as close as possible. :beer;
 
thanks evenyone for the help I will do somemore checking into the wash and do a few various throttle plug checks and throw on a fuel pressure regulator if i can get one before i leave to go out to revy.
