EGT Guages ,are they needed

my fuel box either adds fuel or subtracts fuel... so monitoring individual cylinders seems quite pointless. this is a subject like asking whats the best tattoo shop. the people who give you answers are always going to say they're right and will have their own reasons. it all just depends on what your comfortable with and if your the type of person that likes to hang as many gauges as possible so everybody will "know" your an expert

You called it. Id rather fly under the radar and have it look like a stock sled People think damn he makes that sled look good. (What you got done to that thing????) Nothing! aftermarket hot grips and a gas rack??? If everybody knows its turboed expectations can never be meet.

It can look like a stocker, but how can you hide the sound of the turbo? If the people you ride with can't pick that up, the expectations can't be that high!

I'd rather have a sled that runs properly, and looks good (even with the 1"x2 1/2" EGT digital gauge), and not give a crap about who is impressed. Like FastRider said, If the people you are trying to impress can't tell you've got a turbo on your sled by the sound, it shouldn't be too difficult

What can you really change on a pro for individual cylinders? I can see egts on carburated so you can jet each jug, but with injection there isn't really any adjustment on individual jugs. Silber includes the af gauge, I guess if you don't get a gauge its a choice. But if you have an af gauge I wouldn't waste another $300 for an egt setup.

Thanks everyone one for the info....I didn't want any more guages on the sled. This is the fisrt CFI that I have really modded. All my other sled have porting , slp stuff and EGT guages ...They all run on the edge, the 600 switchback has a 660 kits and works like a dream Egts pinned at 1280 on a good climb and runs very very consistant......
