EFI Fuel Management (Boosted)

I believe I've read the most recent threads on the Rapid Bike Box. But what is the latest experiences guys are having. Is the Rapid Bike the best option we have?

I'm currently running a pure tragic fuel box but they seem primitive compared to the technology that's out there, and I've already missed out on some big rides because of a bad box.

Get one. Your ability to tune is your only limitation. My MCX has never ran better.

That's my only concern, I've heard to truly get a good map you need to tune on a Dyno??? I don't have access to anything like that up here.

Anyone running one on an Alpine Kit? Would also love to hear feedback on how well Dave (Powderlites) has done on his mapping so far?

It will be nice when someone brings a closed loop system to market.

Hi Remmy , i ran the RB3 on my 07 alpine apex , it was tuned on a dyno and i was fine tuning in the field , but too do a good job in the field you should have a datalogger .
We are working on a stand alone , closed loop system at wide open , but you will not get it for the cost of a RB3 .

Totally agree. Watching the tach, o2, and the boost gauge doing 70 mph up hill with the skis in the air is a little too much to do. I have an innovate ssi4 and their logworks program on mine. I'm still working on getting the bluetooth up and running so I can run it on my pda.

Thanks for the info guys.

All right, I've been doing some research and found some new software that has become available for the Rapid Bike Box. It can be read about here:http://www.rapidbikeusa.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/testo_tbike_eng.pdf (Tuning Bike – RapidBike self-injection remapping system)

The software basically takes readings off your O2 Sensor and builds the maps based on the Fuel to Air Ratio you specify. It takes about an hour of testing to build a map.

I then spoke with Dave at Powderlites and it seems he just recently purchased the new software and is going to start building new maps ASAP. I haven't called the manufacturer yet to get a price on the software but Dave should be throwing out some sweet mapping using these tools.

This could be the next best thing to what Gunner is doing right now.

Right now I'm contemplating going with the RB kit and possibly the larger injectors. According to powderlites the Apex is making 360 HP with the larger injectors and the RB mapping at 18 lbs of boost. (Compared to 330 HP with stock Injectors at 18 lbs.)

Sounds like it's only getting better with time.
