Editorial Response to the B.C. Snowmobile Ban

So when you can only ride your motorcycle/snowmobile/ATV in your front yard and whine about the "good old days" when you could ride in the mountains and now it is gone because you did not belong to an organization that stands up for your privilages... you guys that don't belong to Blue Ribbon, BCF, your local snowmobile club and other pro motorsport organizations... YOU ARE THE PROBLEM:mad:

Jeez, why are we beating each other up? Don't we have enough problems already? How about giving him credit for wanting to get involved!

Feel free to add to my coment if I don't word it correctly.

It seems to me that there are many more snowmobilers who venture into the backcountry on a daily basis vs skiers/snowboarders, whether it be heli skiing or not.

So take the number of avi related snowmobile deaths per number of daily trips per person vs the number of avi related skier/snowboarder deaths per person per trip.

Aren't the pecentages in our favor?

The same as anything else... More people doing it, means more accidents deaths.
Correct?

I agree that education is key, but the numbers don't add up to me.

I think you're likely right. However, it would be good and interesting to see if we can objectify those numbers.

I think BCSF could organize our own SAR and not be calling for RCMP everytime something goes wrong, I know the nights we have spent out in a cave, we only called those in from our crew, but that is only cause i prefer to mmob and expect others to do the same. We take the risks and will deal with the consequenses ourselves. In sport and everyday life. But we pack a sat phone and can count on those in our own crew. Not everyone can ride all the time eh. MW can go &*$# a goat far i'm concerned and I emailed him my thoughts.

sick am I

Okay.. I was having a bad day... the point being is it really irritates me there are so many in motorsports that don't pay to protect the sports... In the US we are fighting a Democrat/Obama land grab... I've decided the next time I see an incumbant politician I am throwing my shoes/boots (unless it is my Danners) at them
