Edge vs pro hillclimb

Just wondering if my 04 800 162 pc with twins will keep up with a pro rmk in a hillclimb

With good clutching and coupleing skid of some sort kmod timbersled ect should put a beating on it, if stock definitly not might give a 155 a run for its money

I've got a holtz front and rear end fox shocks gripper skis boss seat black and pink primary any ideas on weights for 2-5k also running 19-41 gears

I'm coming off of an 03 escape that was ported w twin Slp race pipes, heads and a 162 2.5 Camo x under it. It wouldn't begin to go where my new bone stock pro will go. Still miss it. Miss my old ultra as well. But in the end, I love my pro and wouldn't go backward!

In Cooke City last year, bottomless snow you couldn't climb out of anything, the skinny guys on the clutched ProRMKs could climb right with my 910 Edge with 159x2.4 track. Now mind you, they were skinny guys and I'm, well, not skinny.

But even when I got on the ProRMKs they climbed pretty dang good... not as high as the 910, but not very far behind either.

The Pro goes through the snow, plain and simple.

The edge chassis is a very competent hill climber. Not a lot of difference in power output between the Edge and a Pro.

The Pro is just more refined, with a better chassis, handling, suspension, etc. I spent a day on a Pro, and enjoyed it, but didn't feel like my Edge was slumming it either.

Pure raw power to the track-not a lot of difference. I tried a Dragon, and went back to an Edge. I enjoy riding it more.

Mine will beat the new pros. 2004 800 rmk 162 pc with 7 tooth drivers SLP single pipe. Only downfall is they don't quite handle like the pros do.

Yours must be pretty special then. On packed snow maybe. My edge made way more hp than my pro and would beat my pro no doubt in a drag race whether it be flat ground or up a packed hill. But in the deep, it isnt even a fair challenge.

I too skipped the dragon years. Never did care for the way that they handled. I liked my edge chassis far better. The Pro handles more like an edge than than a dragon so as I am getting used it, the more I love it and not missing my edge as much.

I think in 3 ft of fresh the pro will spank your edge..but thats just what I see..hp is about the same but the pro has at least a 60 pd weight advantage, a superior skid and chassis....

and while the dragon was pretty equal to your edge on deep days...we both know the pro would spank it bad......(mine worse of course..............)
