Edge Suspension swap, how tight is too tight?

Just got my 156" track on my 00 RMK and the track is REALLY tight. All my mounting dimensions check out but I only have about 1/4" sag in my track with 10lbs hanging. By the looks of this skid it ran really tight originally, the rear adjusters were within 1/4" of full loose. The track turns freely by hand but it's def TIGHT.

Should I relocated the skid further FWD to gain more slack? or Run it and risk premature idler/hyfax failure? or worse??

:usa2:

I guess you mean that you are using a 156" edge skid and track in your gen2 chassie. As far as i know the longest gen2 was 151"
I had a gen2 rmk800 144" that i extendend to 159" with a skid and track from a edge chassie vertical escape.
I had to move suspension forward one inch due to the same problem you are having.
If you drill the holes from the inside of the tunnel you will find that there are already holes in the steel supports.
This will help you getting all the holes right where you want them.

Yep, I just redrilled the holes last night. I was off by 1/2" vertically and it made all the difference in the world. Plenty of adjustment now.

...and you are correct..I swapped the edge skid into my 00 RMK.

Thanks again!

Glad that everything worked out.
Make shure that rails wont hit the drivers, I dont know if the stock parts will clear.
I installed non slip drivers and a anti stab axle when I did mine.
Had to cut the rails to make it work
