Edge skid into 1999 rmk

I have 1999 rmk 600 with a extra-10 136. I want to put a 151 edge skid from a 2002 into it. Does anyone have measurements for the swap and tips for doing it?

i did one like this just recently , sled not here otherwise I would give you the measurements. Do a search , you will find it . Think it is around 7" from the centre line of the jackshaft.( check not sure ) Width of skid may be a bit smaller so you may have to use spacers to make up the diffrence in width.

you need to move the skid forward and drill new front holes. Reinforce the aluminum at the new hole locations. remove the old rear hangers.

Bolt up front of skid and raise up at rear to get new postion of hangers. Reinstall old rear brackets with rivets and bolts.

You will need a new tunnel extension as well . Tracksusa was great to deal with.

Thanks! That will help. I have been looking around and the measurements I have seen are different. I was wondering if anyone had the measurement from the jack shaft to the first hole and from that hole to back one.

It's actually a 2003 if that matters.

Your rear mount is the same as your extra 10. Your front arm bolt will be 1.5" forward of the old hole, same height from the top of tunnel. If you put the rails side by side, the front arm lower mount is the same from the front tip of rail to bolt hole. The only difference is the edge (03) has a longer front torque arm, moving the tunnel mount on the front forward the 1.5 inches. You should not move your rear tunnel mount.

I got it in. Still doing other things to it so I haven't rode it yet. Looks good though!
