Edge RMK seat, on gen 2 doesn't sit right.

I bought an 04 rmk seat for my 2000 gen two, and it fit's, but not quite like I would like. My sled is an xc, so it has the rear coolent hose coming out and over the tunnle, then back in. That all fits into the seat like it should, when I shove the seat all the way to the front, against the tank, so the seat tabs slide under the tank, that all works good, but then when I want to push the back down, over the coolent hose, it'll go half way down then it jams on something? I can still bolt the back down so the back sits right, but then it has an upward pressure on the front of the seat. And I get about an inch gap between the tank and seat. At first I thought it might be sitting on the taillight connection under the seat, but that's not it. I just don't know what or why it wouldn't just drop down all the way? I put the stock seat, and the new seat side by side, and they are almost indentical from the bottem. The tank shouldn't be an issue, as the 2000 gen two uses the same gas tank as the edge sleds do. Has anybody put an edge seat on a gen two? Anyone have the same issue?

The Edge RMK has a kick up right under the back 1/3 of the seat or so. That's what you are fighting. I don't know if you could take a heat gun and heat that bend and straighten it out.

Yep you guys are right. That's the problem. I when out right after I posted this to have another look, then I saw it. I took a wood file to the shapest part of the bend, but it didn't enough to notice a diffurence. Looks like the heat gun trick is the only option. Or I might just leave it. It's really not that bad.
