Has anyone tried to weld a 3/8 in plate of aluminum between the two mounting straps, and add another set of mounts on the pto side. Basically, I would have a one piece mounting plate and six motor mounts to try to hold clutch alignment, and to keep from ripping the mounts in two. Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks John

Brad, I just bought a plate off ebay (crankstud with JJ Machinery was the seller) for a bb 800 Polaris that looks identical to one you have pictured on your site. It came from Utah, not sure if thats you or not, but either way, the holes punched in it weren't quite round. Not a big deal, just use the right sized bit to clean it up so the bolts will fit through. Looks to me like the punch used has a chip in it. No complaints, just thought if thats you I'd let you know. Oh, and the holes are in exactly the right locations, looks like a nice piece!
