ECU Code 21

I have ecu code 21 flashing on my sled. So where o where is the dang knock sensor located so I can check to make sure it is plugged in and start there. I tried looking for it in the race manual but I can't find it.

Found the sensor. Looks to be plugged in. . Now how does a guy go about figuring out what failed?

The sensor could be shot. But you probably need more octane in your fuel or run less boost. Another thing that can trigger this code is over revving. Hitting the rev limiter can set it off.

Yes but code 21 is not the octane code? I never had the octane code. It seems er21 is more likely a sensor diagnostic code? Saying the reading from the sensor is funky. I guess I don't know I'm just frustrated about it.

Make sure the wire connector is secure AND zip-tied so it is not flopping around. This happened to me and I was getting a false code.

Did your ecu reset the code itself or did you have to take it to the dealer?
