Economy crunch

How are you ATV,Snowmobile,Watercraft business hanging on?I've noticed quite a few Bank rupt.,Doors closing.I think we rereaction nuts should get a stimulus package for $10,000.00 for just trying to keep the sport alive!!!I had a customer that had purcahsed a 800 RMK his first sled, worked his butt off 2 jobs.Took it out rode it 60 miles crank broke. He came to my shop even offered to shovel my side walk for repair.I fixed the crank, put pistons in,etc.Charged him $350.00 total.I've got a customer for life.It made me feel great get him out there and enjoying snowmobiling!!!

I don't even look at the economy forecasts, I just keep pressing on. Its not easy on some I know that but maybe just maybe if they have enough stamina they will be around after its all over. There is work out there, but you can't just sit and expect it to come to your door. Forgot to add, cudos to you for the extra service, that is exactly what it takes. This guy will tell 500 people to come to you.....like I said you can't expect the business to come to you!

Well we are all definetly hanging in there!!! You'll get a couple good days in a row then its a complete ghost town. Weird thing is around here in sw mn, we can't seem to sell motorcycles even with the prices cut way under and with 08 left(even with the stimulus tax rebate at the end of the year) but people are buying $20-30,000 boats, ive completely sold all my 08 alumacrafts and have only a couple of 09's left so its just been a really weird year with people buying equipment, but we just have to watch what we price everything to not lose a sale but also make sure we dont completely go broke selling it!! All in all guy just has to watch what he spends with the amount of things your selling out the door! The service department has to stay on top of their toes and do quality work to keep the flow going and keep return customers coming and to try have them help get new customers in the door, even if the involves washing their machine, going and picking it up and delivering, to saving them a few bucks on a quick little fix by not charging them.
