Economic Collapse - What do you think?

This mess was created by government give aways and artificial proping up of different government programs. The Dems saw a chance to take charge. They pushed and pushed HARD to get the notion that we were going down in flames. They pushed and pushed, they had the media push hard also. If you tell people something long enough and loud enough, it becomes the truth. Just look at man made global warming.

It was government programs that Forced the lending institutions to give loans to people that couldn't afford them. It was government programs that forced the credit card companies to double the amount people had to pay.

It was the governments fault. They LOVE to meddle in the democratic process and call it progress. Companies go bankrupt because they either messed up running the place or put out inferior products. It is NOT the governments job to prop those companies up.

The only thing that is happening is we are being set up for a MASSIVE fall.
The spending spree has to be paid for.
How?

Think about this.
It would have cost 20% of what they put into bailing out the banks to let the banks go under and pay the people that had money in accounts. If you took the money they are putting into this stimulus package, you could pay off 90% of ALL home loans in this country.

I learned an important lesson along time ago,

If people are involved, then its going to get all sorts of jacked up. This is a good case in point.

I feel that this was a result of many failures, many bad decisions, many evils. This problem like many cannot be simply solved by 798 Billion.

Its not over........just not sure how deep the rabbit hole is !

GDP is down but not like in pasts depressions. Unemployment isn't as bad either. The best thing I've seen this recession called is the "Psychological Recession" because consumer spending has been the hardest hit of all the recessions (even though the Christmas season was no as dire as the boo hoos would have you believe)...housing and banking deal didn't help either. But, there are also some categories that are on the rise, housing is showing recovery and our dollar has been gaining strength against many other currencies. But, all in all this doesn't even compare to the past recessions with respect to most important categories. I bet we bottomed out in January...that is the month when employment numbers are typically the worse. You can also bet the stock market will start to gain as well...usually does into the spring and summer.

i like this positive reply.:beer;

I just saw Suzi Orman do a commercial for the FDIC telling you your money is safe with the Gov't. Wow...are we screwed!

You just wait, after this recession is over the Liberals will claim "success" and they will puff up their chests and tell you how this stimulus package is the only thing that saved us. The sheeple will eat it up like free cake.

my take on all this is pretty simple..the only way this economy is going to get better is for goverment to help out in 2 places...cut the working mans tax( and I mean almost no tax for peeps in the 30-100,000 single range) ..and help out small business..without that there will be no taxes for the goverment to collect to pay for all these charity programs....period...us average get up and work every day guys have to have help..if we dont have money to spend(either because of no job or because of over taxation) neither we nor this country can survive....but if the goverment lets us keep most of our taxs we ourselves will stimulate the economy far more then the stimulas package....

Exactly! The only thing that is going to get us out of this is good old fashioned hard work. The only problem is that current governments dont encourage this. Too much taxation, government spending, and government intervention. The free market needs to be able to work for this mess to get fixed. The only problem is that weaning the economy off of this easy government money is going to be harder than cleaning up a crack addict. People have become complacent. We need leaders with some vision.........and balls.

Very interesting clip I found. I think you guys will like it.;)
