ECM reflash--exhaust valves

Has anyone tried the ECM reprogram to open your exhaust valves sooner? The stock ones open at 5500 and 7000 (2 stage I beleive), the ECM reflash that engine tech offers reprograms them to open at at 4500 and 6000. Supposed to be about a 10hp mid gain.

Why doesn't their website say anything about the exhaust valves? It only mentions rev limiter and ignition timing. Or am I looking at the wrong thing?
 
Ya ive had the ecm reflash done all year. But I did it a bit different way. The way that both Art and Kelsey are doing it still allows the sled to choose multiple curves. If this werent the case then Art wouldnt have had to put so much effort into building a different tstat. Mine runs a single curve that opens the valves at 5600. Pulls better than a trygstad 860 in side by side testing.
 
even stock sleds run hot and can be improved with T-Stat upgrades.

you hear of some guys on here talking about how a 07 REV 800R will out perform a 800R XP. Remember that the 07's didn't have themostat's (XRS)

Just what I'm hearing...
 
My 08 154X runs 2 bars and a friends 146X runs 4-5 bars in the same snow? His tunnel is also hot to the touch when mine is way cooler. Is it length of the heat exchanger rather than t-stat? If his t-stat wasn't fully open I doubt that his tunnel would feel hot to the touch. We ride at the same speed.

Acccording to Art 4 bars = around 125. My sled ran 4 bars all weekend , trails , hills etc. Now i was unable to bury it in 3 feet of fresh and hold it open for 5 mins... sadly. So I dont know how hot that would get things. sj
