Eating belts

I bought a 2007 skidoo summit-x this fall and it had 1900 miles on it, I have put about 200 miles on it so far this year and have gone through 2 belts. It's not shredding them it's just ripping the top ribs off But keeping the belt in tact. I was thinking that my clutch isn't aligned, or it needs cleaned, if anyone knows what's going on with It let me know thanks

check the engine rubber torque stop deal, your clutches might need to be gone through and rebuilt, yes check the alignment, how hot is your primary when you stop from riding? you should at least be able to hold your hand on it for a second or 2.

thats odd... usually belt problems arise from extreme heat. check that torque stopper for the motor. its a little orange thing that limits the torquing of the motor, when it gets wore out, the clutches get out of alignment when you hit the throttle. its right behind the primary clutch inbetween the primary and secondary.

Sounds like no clutch maintainance too me!!,arms are probly stuck, good way to blow up a primary!!

Spring cup been replaced? When was the last time the clutches where gone through?
