East Idaho Sheep Creek

Looking for some info on riding sheep creek area near palisades. Always see a couple rigs parked at the bottom but wasn't sure if they're just riding in to cabins or not. Anybody ride up there, if so whats the best access or route up? From google earth it looks like Little Elk Creek might be a better access. Is it possible to get into Palisades lakes?

We ride there but I've only came in from the north, and from that direction you can get to the lakes. Would be a lot closer coming in from the south and I'm guessing guys do, but we never have. Eric
