Dynoport Y pipe, pipe and can

I have the full Dynoport sytem on my pro 800 and it now has 1300 miles with it installed all I can say is it ROCKS. I brought my sled to Dynoport in september for a test mule to build these systems and have had great result's with 9 hp increase without added fuel. I run the y-pipe,pipe and big core barker can with the non-ethonal plug and NO FUEL BOX. Please keep in mind i ride at 1500ft elavation and runs so crisp!!! I am not sure if more or less fuel is needed to operate at higher elavtion's.It fit's like oem and can be used with stock can or y-pipe I have yet to have a problem and still on original plugs. Complete system with big core can lost nearly 18 pounds :face-icon-small-ton.

I just recently raced at local hill drags and took home first place in super stock class with a 5 sled lead on a doo 800 in 1000ft. Please don't hesitate to P.M. if you have any Q's.

Very light rumble tone almost stock sounding with can alone till you hit 5000 then it just wakes up and barks like the big core barker should. Passed thru two police check points on the trail in Tug Hill with can on and had no problems. With just the big volume pipe alone it has a better tone.

How did you run a setup with y-pipe, can and pipe in the stock class? Does super stock allow those mods? Did you keep the stock 5.1 track on?

Who cares how it sounds....what are they finding for hp numbers and in the field experience?

Super stock class is just bolt on part's like reeds, single pipe, clutching and yes the track is the original 2.4 inch track and has held up great trail riding it with no torn lugs. Pipe pulls hard much better than stock with impressive mid range power and with 1300 miles on it with this exhaust installed ( y-pipe,pipe,and can) and no signs of a lean burn with great piston wash I am very happy! Y-pipe made 2hp and with y-pipe and big core barker setup it made 4hp with ethanol resistor installed then add a pipe and make 9.6 hp total. Rich Daily at dynoport has a new hillclimb circuit at www.SHCRA.com with trophey and pro classes so if your in N.Y. you should come join the fun and watch this pro run to the top!

Results are good I ride with a bmp piped cf 800ho and some mod 800 doo's and with stock setup on the rmk i trade wins in a 1000ft flat race on hard pack snow every other time but toss the pipe on and i take the win every time by atleast 2-3 sleds! I still have'nt got the clutching dialed to my likeing but when I do I will post what work's best for me!

No torn lugs on trail? I was kind of hoping for some results in the mountains at 8000+ ft but I guess this will have to do. When you say everything together made 9.6hp you weren't taking what they claim for the y-pipe at 2, slincer at 2, and the pipe at 5.6 then just adding them up were you? It doesn't work like that. Do they have any numbers with everything combined as a system? (i.e. y-pipe- silencer, and pipe all on at the same time?) If this 9.6 number was with everything in place disreguard what I was saying, just trying to be clear!

Thanks

Yes full system make's 9.6 hp! Sorry to confuse you I mean't to say the sled was on the dyno and made several runs with just the y-pipe and then can was added and so forth. So with that said it made 159 hp with the full Dynoport system on 91 octane gas and etanol resistor installed and no fuel adder. I did say trails I have hills but only 1800ft to the top lol :face-icon-small-dis.

Thanks for the info....pretty good numbers at 9.6hp. SLP can't seem to get their system figured out. Delays and more delays. Sounds like it is working on the dyno but not doing much when testing in the mountains.

interesting that you can run the dyno port with no fuel box yet slp says the fuel box is required with the pipe and can change?? :face-icon-small-dis:face-icon-small-dis

so how big of a difference does it make if you are running it with the non-ethanol plug?

Just guessing here, but the ethanol plug enrichens fuel mixture by approx. 5%, thus substituting as a fuel programmer, and probably matching the extra air flow from the pipe. I know I have heard people say the resistor also pulls some timing, but I don't think so.

oh, i gotcha. that makes sense as to why they can run the pipe without a controller. so how much is there to gain by adding the pc5 rather than just adding 5% across the board? what do people have for pricing for the Y, pipe, and can?

Are we talking about a Pro or a Dragon cuz the weight thing is way off on both really? And the I can see not using a PCV on the dragon kindof but not a Pro. I know DynoPort has a pipe and a Y but I don't think it's for sale for the open market yet. I would really like to buy this set-up if it does make the power that has been claimed on this thread, but I have my doubts about it. As do I about BMP's claims also. And SLP well I think there just covering there ASSES on the whole pipe thing because they are one + one with Polaris... So, until someone comes up with a good combo I'll just wait..
P.S. If the new 800 is a DI sled the 2011 engine will be a forgoting one and no one will spend anymore R&D on it even though it was a big hit for Polaris and we with 2011 Pro's will suffer in the HP department...

the 2012's won't be DI. i bet we don't see a DI polaris until 2015 or so. dynoport does offer dyno charts of before and after. can those be manipulated? of course. and i don't think i would pay much attention to peak numbers, i'm more interested in the relative difference. plus for me, i like that dyno port R&D's at 1500 or so feet, which is where i ride. time will tell. i'll see how they run and might try to pick one up next year.

Sorry no pictures yet! I haven't figured out how to upload off phone but I will try again. No pcv or any fuel adders are being used and at 1500 elavation it seems to run better with non etanol resistor installed as the ethanol resistor runs a little rich IMO. If you give Dynoport a call (315-255-3665) it would be your best bet for info or orders.
