Dynoport pipe pics, and review

How much weight did the a arms save? What brand are they? I cant find anything on dynoport site that claims the weight savings, did you weigh them yourself?

The A-arms are Zbroz/ArsFX, probably 8-10 pound drop, that is just a guess.

The dynoport is probably around 12 pound weight loss. It saves weight because it doesn't have a shell like the stock pipe, and it doesn't run an internal stinger like the stock or SLP..less material. You can also run the dynoport pipe with the stock silencer.

the z-broz is only a couple pound saving. some one else posted the weight of both stock/z bros and it was a pretty small amount.

Chad,

Did you ride in much over the hood fluff powder?

Without a barrier against flash chilling of the pipe and the large hood openings, I'm wondering if a wrap would be a good idea for the pipe??

What are your thoughts on this?

Do you think you could throw the Dynoport and the stocker on a shipping scale for comparison?

Thanks for taking time to post this info up for us to read. Great pix.

Dynoport uses a very high quality ceramic coating (not ALL ceramic coatings are created equal!). I have NEVER experienced any "flash chilling" fall off from what you describe and have plenty of seat time with Rich's pipes!

Have FUN!

It is not the pipes... but the shape and proximity to the hood vents in deep snow that would have me concerned.

I have experienced bog problems that went away when ceramic coated pipes were wrapped... but no experience with this pipe in this chassis which is why I asked Chad for his thoughts on this.

I agree.. there can big differences in ceramic coatings from different suppliers... I have had poor coatings that rusted quickly, or were too thick and cracked or were not tumbled well... and others that have held up to years of use in salt water exhausts.

I've seen Dynoport pipes and talked .... their products appear to be high quality pieces.

To be fair... Do you have any seat time on the pro with ceramic pipes? (I do not).

I'm thinking that the FrogZskins for the hood vents would be a good combo to run with a non shielded pipe in deep snow conditions.

No but I do on a REV which also has a large vent right at the center section of the pipe (where you want to retain the most heat). Thanks for the info on the Frogskins products! I had heard they were making them but have never seen them for the Pro. Looks like an EXCELLENT idea, especially for riding here in the Pacific NW where we even have to ride in downpours sometimes.

Cheers,

Eric-

Sadly we have not had a lot of very deep snow rides this year. Nothing over the handlebars like a normal year. Plus, most of the snow I ride is coastal, little bit heavier snow. I have not had any bogging issues or anything of that sort but I do have my hood openings backed with prefilter so I think that is part of my lack of issues. I think the frogskinz vent backers are a great idea though.

I will try to get the pipe on a scale sometime in the next few weeks and report back.
