Anyone ever broke a durapro tether after one ride? Just pulled on. Not ran over or anything. Thankfully durapro is standing behind their product and replacing it. Just curious what other people‘s experiences are. Thinking about ordering an extra tether to throw in my tunnel bag.

Seen a couple broken just like that.

Any piece of metal on the magnet will work.

One guy had a steel gear on a string stuck to his sled for a couple rides.

I've got three of them and never an issue.

Nice thing about the Polaris is you can pop the hood off and disconnect the tether and ride home if you lose it.
(or stick a piece of metal on it I guess).

I hate that the SkiDoo tether is a vin-coded key and not universal.

Good information to know about the magnet. What is the benefit of switching from stock? I know the magnet is strong and it pops on nice. Just wondering why a lot of riders switch them out from stock.

I have the same question. The stock Matryx tether works well for me and all my riding buddies.

Also doesn't pack with snow.
You can literally toss it from a few feet away and it homes into the magnet and SMACK... ready to go.

There was initially the impression they were much tougher than the oem matryx tether but that hasn't proven to be the case.

It's something else to spend money on mostly.
